More people are choosing to using stir frying as a way to prepare meals today. Requiring much less oil and often a shorter preparation time, this method can be employed with a variety of different foods. Here are a few simple stir fry vegetable dishes to try.

For a quick and easy meal, consider a simple bean curd and broccoli stir fry. Bean curd is simply another form of tofu, and will work very well with this cooking method. Placing a small amount of oil in the skillet, place slices of hard tofu in the oil and allow them to cook until slightly crisp. Add in broccoli florets and continue to slowly cook them through until tender. If you like, add in a few slivers of carrots for a little color. A final dash of brown sauce will provide a little color to the tofu and also make the dish tasty and visually appealing.  This entire dish can be prepared in less than ten minutes.

Another idea for a quick stir fry is to toss in some peanut oil and small chunks of chicken. After the chicken has cooked through, add in such vegetables as broccoli, snow peas, cauliflower, carrots, and a mix of red, green, and yellow peppers.  Continue stirring the combination until the vegetables are cooked through, but still a little crispy. For added flavor, toss in some chopped onion or a few herbs and spices.  The result is a healthy dish that will taste great while packing a load of vitamins and nutrients.

The beauty of a stir fry vegetable dish is that you can include just about anything that you like. Experiment on your own, or look up some recipes for stir fry on the Internet. Chances are you will find all sorts of ways to include your favorite foods in a stir fry combination.
