You probably already know that stir fry vegetable mixes are one of the healthiest and tastiest meals out there. But did you know that there are dozens, maybe even hundreds, of different kinds of vegetables to choose from, some of them more healthy or more flavorful than others? You may only be familiar with a few of them--or you may have come across the enormous variety and be bewildered at the choices. Either way, this article can help.

The two most common stir fry vegetable mixes are cabbage and bok choy. These are your bulk vegetables; you'll probably use at least one of these in any stir fry you make.

Next, you have your basic stir fry vegetable mixes. These include julienne carrots, green beans and string beans, broccoli and cauliflower, and other common vegetables.

The next step is the exotics. Water chestnuts, shredded fresh ginger root, daikon radishes. Use these stir fry vegetable mixes sparingly until you learn which ones you like the taste of, which go best with carrots and celery, etc.

A simple, easy way to get the most nutrition out of your stir fry is to have a blend of colors in your stir fry vegetable mixes. For example, orange carrots, green broccoli, white cauliflower, red or yellow sweet bell peppers, your bulk green, and a dash of soy sauce, with a sprinkle of shredded ginger added at the end, makes for a delicious and ridiculously easy stir fry that also happens to contain a wide mix of vitamins and nutrients.

Stir fry doesn't have to be difficult. Just remember to use no more than a teaspoon of oil to cook them in, blend your colors, and add leafy greens towards the end of the process. And experiment! Try using whatever vegetables you have on hand, in decreasing quantity from bulk to basic to exotic, add a little soy sauce or a little sesame seed oil, and make your own delicious and healthy stir fry.
